I did quite a few things during my trip out to California. I saw my family, hung with dear friends, took a few snaps with the Holga, and had my mind melted right outta my skull. Nothing illegal mind you and I won’t get into particulars, but there were a few moments there where I felt, no, I knew, that I lost everything I cared about.
Melodramatic? Hell yes, but very eye-opening and the entire experience left me with a better understanding of what’s important in this, my, life.

I have really enjoyed the last two shots Garrison…the starkness of the beach scenes really appeal to me. I guess when any of us really discover what is important in life it is wonderful. I guess most of the time we are told by the advertisers what is important. If we can move beyond that then there must be happiness right! Phil
