Today was the first day we could get the kids out of the house on a weekend in sometime, so Heather and I rounded up the trike, the stroller, said kids and headed down to the Charles River Park and took full advantage of the killer day.
I took along the DSLR for snaps of the kids as well as my Holga in case I saw something interesting I wanted to commit to film. I found this on the way back from a trip to the car to deposit Emmy’s trike after she tired of riding it.
I initially took it digitally just to see if I liked the way it looked and then seeing the results, ran back to Heather and the kids to get the Holga which I’d left behind. By the time I got back to the scene, the sun shifted enough so that the shadow wasn’t running straight down the trunk, but I shot it anyway feeling the loss of symmetry might be just as cool. I’ve posted the digital version and will follow up with the Holga version when I get the film back.

This is a fascinating photo, Garrison. I wanna see this huge. I do wish it was square however, I hope to see the Holga version eventually.
